If it's important to your life or to your work, it probably arrived on a CSX train. Last year, we moved 4,754,977 new cars, 738,400 new dishwashers, and 20,000 carloads a day of other important things from food to toys so medicines to the coal that makes your electricity.
Our Trains
On any given day we probably have 1,200 trains running. We maintain a fleet of 3,800 locomotives and more than a hundred thousand freight cars.
Our Loads
In 2005, U.S. railroads hauled enough wheat to make 400 loaves of bread for every man, woman and child in America. We delivered your baby's first blanket, her first box of cereal, her first coloring book, her first computer, her first car. LEARN MORE >
Our Network
Think of a major population center or industrial center east of the Mississippi. Yep, we go there. We also connect 70 river, ocean and lake ports, and more than 230 short-line and regional railroads. LEARN MORE >
