Hiring Process
CSX accepts applications submitted through our website only. In order to be considered for any type of position, you must fill out the online application. Resumes that are mailed, e-mailed or hand-delivered to CSX or any employee will not be considered.
Once you have submitted an online application, our employment team will review it and notify you via e-mail if you have been selected to participate in the next step of the recruiting process.
Applicants who are invited to participate in the recruitment process can expect an initial interview screening with a Human Resources staffing specialist. If recommended, additional interviews with members of the department or business group will be scheduled. These may be individual and/or panel interviews.
Requirements and timing vary by department however most do require some pre-employment testing. Individual job descriptions specify the required experience, licenses, degrees or certifications.

Search for Open Positions
To find available jobs, click on the blue 'Search Jobs & Apply Now' button at the top right of the page. A new browser window will open with our online job search and application tool.Select the criteria for your Job Search, and click the 'Search for Jobs' button. Results will appear below the criteria you selected.
Click on a job name for a detailed description and a link to apply online.
Apply for a Position

Find the job you want to apply for, and click the 'Apply Online' button.
Accept the Privacy Agreement and follow the simple instructions on each screen.
