CSX announces changes to the Express program effective October 1, 2009. The 65-car Express Load and Unload program will no longer be available. The 90-car Express Load incentive is available at $125 per car for elevators/shippers for a three year period: 10/01/2009 - 09/30/2012. Exceptions may apply for facilities where other programs are in place. The 90-car Express Unload program remains at $75 per car for feed mill receivers. CSX announces the upgrade of Heritage Cooperative's Kenton, Ohio, elevator as a 90-car Express shipper, serving the southeast and northeast markets. ADM facilities at Webberville and Grand Ledge, Mich., also recently joined our 90-car Express shippers. ADM's Oakland, Ill., elevator is also now capable of shipping 90-car unit trains to CSX destinations. In addition, Gavilon's Haw Creek elevator is now shipping 90-car unit trains as part of the Express program. With the addition of these elevators, CSX now has 32 origins that are 90-car capable. Pilgrims Pride's Athens, Ga., facility has been upgraded to receive 90-car unit trains. At the mill, Pilgrims Pride will participate in the See CSX Express program, unloading an entire unit train within 15 hours. We are pleased to serve this enhanced Pilgrims Pride location.
