May 2007: CSX Receives 'Most Improved Carrier' from Owens Corning
Every year Owens Corning recognizes carriers with outstanding performance as it relates to safety, service reliability and strategic direction. CSXT received the "most improved" carrier of the year and was one of only two railroads to do so. Roy Neal, CSX senior account manager, noted that key roofing granules lanes achieved a standard deviation of less than 1.6, which allowed Owens Corning to effectively plan shipments and minimize expedited trucks.

Owens Corning valued CSXT's willingness to jointly develop strategic objectives which helped to grow and support Owens Corning businesses. They described CSXT's account strategy process as "the benchmark that they now use with all other carriers."

Over a million miles, through the harshest weather, Owens Corning wants their carriers to provide service experiences second to none with on-time deliveries to help their customers prosper and grow.
